Anna joins us as Split Payments own Onboarding & Compliance Specialist and is going to help our clients with a smooth transition.

What are your thoughts about Split Payments and where we are heading?
Split Payments has an infectious ‘bubbly’ feel. I think there are some great things on the horizon for this Company and it is SO exciting to be a part of. Specifically, in the Compliance department, it’s so great to be part of a growing company and watch things evolve so rapidly!

What are you most passionate about in your professional life?
I’m passionate about everything in my professional life at the moment as this career in compliance has just begun. I have already set big aspirations for myself and am eager to learn and grow in the company.

Who knows! The sky is really the limit in this space!

My first job was working at Geoff Huegills (Australian Swimmer from the 90s) mothers Thai takeaway shop. The whole shop was green and gold and filled with all of his newspaper clippings- she was really cute.

Meet Tom Dalling, Split Payment’s newest addition to the Software Engineering team.

Tom brings over a decade of professional software development experience. He has authored a book about coding, several technical articles, and open-source libraries used in thousands of web applications.

What are your thoughts about Split Payments and where we are heading?
Split is a first mover in the real-time payments space in Australia and has some international opportunities too. We are at the early stages of the “expand” phase in Kent Beck’s 3X model, where we will be scaling up as quickly as possible to meet rapidly growing demand.

What are you most passionate about in your professional life?
I’m passionate about developers doing impactful work, efficiently, in a healthy social
environment. Maximising team happiness and productivity go hand-in-hand in software
development, according to research and personal experience.

What project/job have you done in the past that you’re proud of?
I’m proud of Tom’s Data Onion —a puzzle for programmers that I created recently. The final layer is quite technically impressive, even if I do say so myself.

Any secret talents?
I cook some pretty mean pasta dishes, chillis, and Asian noodle soups.

Where do you see the payments space evolve to in the next 12-24 months?
I think the NPP rollout is going to push the industry towards instant bank transfers, and away from existing payment methods like credit cards and BPay.

What was your first paying job?
When I was 15 I took a job at Coles that involved tidying up the shelves at night, so that they looked good for the next day. We were called “preso boys”, but a colleague of mine insisted that we were in fact “preso men”.

If you could have a job in anything else, what would it be?
Reclusive author, or maybe a game studio director/producer.

When I am not at work/in the office you can find me here:
Eating exotic foods in the inner suburbs of Melbourne, or watching British comedy from the 2000s.

In 2020, Split will be recruiting for a wide variety of roles, including Content Writers, Project Managers, and Sales Executives.
